Fair Lending Policy

As a lender, the primary function of Express Mortgage is to make loans that are mutually beneficial to Express Mortgage and its customers.

Express Mortgage does not and will not practice "red-lining". That is, loans will not be denied based on location in a particular area within our trade area. Rather, each loan will be evaluated on sound credit factors.

It is the policy of Express Mortgage to rigorously adhere to both the letter and spirit of the laws pertaining to the extension of credit and the regulation of lending. Examples of consumer laws include Truth in Lending, Fair Credit Reporting, and Equal Credit Opportunity.

Express Mortgage shall not discriminate against credit applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, physical condition, handicap, familial status, developmental disability or age (provided the applicant has the capacity to contract), or because all or part of the applicant's income derives from any public assistance program, or because the applicant has in good faith exercised any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act.

Express Mortgage will notify applicants of action taken on their applications.
